Cellular Development

Each Holigent urban village is to be built and to function as a cellular unit of society. A Holigent urban village will remain a human-scale, car-free and walkable community, served by mass-transportation, which will not sprawl. Beyond the initial funding it becomes self-financed and self-organized. It is also self-replicating as a nonprofit operation that reinvests a substantial part of its income in building new secure, safe, sustainable and affordable Holigent communities.


Holigent urban villages are to be built with the latest green technology. Each community will engage in local energy production, recycling, water reclamation, and food production (vertical farming if land is in short supply).


Each community will provide sufficient commercial, office and light industrial space for companies to set up shop and provide jobs to accommodate live-work arrangements for employee-residents.


Through their contractual participation in community service, residents provide maintenance and outreach. Community outreach is extended to the immediate neighborhoods that surround a Holigent community. As part of their community service, individuals in teams work this outreach zone mentoring the neighboring residents, particularly young people, training and helping them in community maintenance, sustainable economic development and securing peace and safety.


National outreach provides an opportunity for individuals to volunteer in construction and maintenance of new Holigent communities. They will be students of this hybrid concept – learning, building and experiencing the Holigent socioeconomic system and philosophy.


Global outreach is an educational program that will provide opportunities for individuals around the world to come and participate. They will learn and experience Holigent community building and then take it with them to seed and promote Holigent transformation in their community and country.
